Fire Alarms and Sprinkler Heads
Your Board Members continue to work with our Fire Protection Company and our Fire Department, to rectify any fire safety violations in our community with regards to sprinkler heads, alarms, emergency lighting, risers and extinguishers.
Inspectors will enter every single unit once a year with a Board Member to assure our sprinkler systems are working properly. Homeowners should have a working entry key submitted to Melrose per condo documents.
Wayne will no longer be checking smoke detectors. This is the HOME OWNERS RESPONSIBILITY. A form will be left behind in units or sent via email from Melrose which is to be completed, signed and submit the form certifying smoke/carbon monoxide detectors are in working order. Mail to

Fines can be imposed by the City of Bradenton to our association for failure to certify 100% of the Association, which will in turn be directed PRIMARILY to those homeowners who DO NOT comply.

KIDDE FIRE ALARMS RECALLED
Please be aware that most of these fire/carbon monoxide alarms have a lifetime of approximately ten years. They should be replaced regardless of recall. The homeowner is ultimately responsible for fire damage if an alarm is not replaced upon expiration. if your alarm is in the recall, Kidde will offer to replace at a discounted price depending on the expiration date of the alarm.
